Sam & Harry

I met my husband, Harry, at my 1st birthday party - I was 1 (obviously) and he was 3. Cut to 18 years later where, after we had spent years apart after I moved away to South Africa, I moved back to Colne and we fell in love.
After dating for 5 years, 1 of which was spent living together for the first time during a pandemic, Harry popped the question on the top of a mountain. Of course I said yes - he's all I've ever hoped for in a husband and it really felt like I was living in my own personal fairytale.

Of course for my fairytale I needed to have a magical dress and I knew that I was going to find mine at Emma Hartley's Bridalwear.

I felt like I floated into the shop. The walls were lined with the most beautiful dresses I'd ever seen. I had a personalized welcome sign and drink. I had my mum and 2 sisters with me, as well as a mini entourage attending via Zoom Call - I had every faith that with this group of gorgeous women I would find my dream dress and they would give me their honest opinions.

Standing in the beautiful fitting room before anyone saw me, I had my moment. I felt like I could see myself as a bride and I felt so beautiful that I cried. Walking out to everyone to show the dress was so special,
On our wedding day, the 5th March 2022, the sun shone for us and that's what it felt like my soul was doing all day. I have never felt more beautiful than I did that day in my magical dress. My husband's first words to me when he saw me for the first time at the top of the aisle were, "you look amazing." I had hundreds of compliments on my dress all day, everyone couldn't get over how unique and stunning it was and how well it suited me. It truly was a fairytale and I'm so happy that this was captured by the amazing photographer Mark Tattersall.
